Jewelry Care

What is your jewelry made of?

Full materials information is always listed in the description of each product. Our findings (clasps, ear wires, ear posts etc) are always .925 sterling silver, unless stated otherwise on the product listing.

How should I store my jewelry?

To make sure your Minor Lion jewelry looks great for years to come, please store it in an airtight baggie to avoid oxidization. Store each piece in it’s own bag to avoid rubbing or scratching. Store your jewelry in a cool, dry place. Do not store jewelry in the bathroom.

You can prolong the lifespan of your jewelry by avoiding contact with water, chemicals, oils, and lotions. Remove jewelry when sleeping, bathing or showering, and at the pool/spa. Remove rings and bracelets when using household cleaners. Always remember to put your jewelry on last, after using hairspray, lotions, makeup, perfumes, or other beauty products.

How should I clean my jewelry?

Our jewelry combines many types of materials, including wood, stone, glass, metal, pearl, and bone. As such, we do not recommend using chemicals to clean your pieces, as what may work well for one component may damage another.

We recommend cleaning your Minor Lion jewelry with a quick dip in a solution of mild detergent (like Woolite) and warm water, followed by a polish with a soft microfiber cloth. If necessary, you can also dip a soft-bristled toothbrush into warm water and lightly scrub the spots that need a bit of extra attention.

Make sure to lay each piece out to fully air-dry for a couple of hours before storing in individual airtight bags.
